Deck overview

This is a Grixis "crime" midrange-combo deck helmed by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. Every spell that targets an opponent, their permanents, or their graveyard is a crime, and Marchesa converts those crimes into cheap card selection by digging two and keeping one. The 99 is built to flood the board with cheap targeting interaction, loot and surveil effects, and graveyard setup so the command zone engine stays online. Primary wins are classic draw-damage loops with Niv-Mizzet, Parun or Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind paired with Curiosity or Tandem Lookout, plus a compact aristocrats loop of Forsaken Miner, Pitiless Plunderer, and Goblin Bombardment. Reanimation (Buried Alive, Animate Dead, Victimize) and flashback engines (Kess, Dissident Mage, Past in Flames) assemble those lines, while a dense counter suite protects the turn you go off.
