Deck overview

This is a mono-black Swamp-matters Voltron and big-mana deck helmed by Korlash, Heir to Blackblade. The plan is straightforward: ramp out a critical mass of Swamps, cast Korlash as a scaling threat equal to your Swamp count, then suit him with Equipment and evasion Auras for commander-damage kills. Parallel to the Voltron channel, Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, and Crypt Ghast generate enormous black mana to fuel table-ending X-spells such as Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire. Secondary pressure comes from Vilis, Broker of Blood, Phyrexian Obliterator, and swampwalk enablers like Filth. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins through combat damage and life-drain finishers once the Swamp engine is online. Korlash himself is the primary threat body and regenerate anchor, though the mana and Equipment packages function without him.
