Kefka, Court Mage by Iamjimbob

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis discard-and-wheel control deck built around Kefka, Court Mage and his transformed side, Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The front half is a repeatable discard/draw engine, while the back half turns opponent life loss during your turn into raw card drawing, which is also the key to a two-card infinite loop with Niv-Mizzet, Parun. The deck's main game plan is to land Kefka early, multiply his triggers with Harmonic Prodigy, Roaming Throne, and Gogo, Master of Mimicry, then resolve mass wheel effects while draw-punishers like Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, and Underworld Dreams drain the entire table. Winning is usually table-wide life loss rather than combat, backed by infinite/finishing loops from Curiosity, Underworld Breach, and Lion's Eye Diamond.
