Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange strategy commanded by Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. It focuses on dealing early poison counters using low-cost creatures with toxic and infect, such as Skrelv, Defector Mite, Plague Stinger, and Bloated Contaminator. Once opponents have three poison counters, Ixhel triggers corrupted abilities to steal cards from opposing libraries and fuel steady card advantage. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions into lethal pressure with heavy hitters like Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Vishgraz, the Doomhive, and Phyrexian Swarmlord, using proliferate effects to distribute poison counters quickly.
