Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari discard and token attrition strategy led by Nath of the Gilt-Leaf. The game plan revolves around casting symmetrical discard spells and permanent engines to strip all cards from opposing hands. Nath breaks parity by creating a 1/1 green Elf Warrior creature token whenever an opponent discards a card. As early as Turn 5, continuous discard pieces like Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, and Oppression force opponents into topdeck mode. The deck converts this resource denial into a win condition through cumulative life-loss enchantments like Liliana's Caress, Megrim, Shrieking Affliction, and Painful Quandary, paired with wide combat attacks from the generated Elf army. While the deck excels at dismantling hand-based strategies and generating substantial board presence, it lacks instant-speed interaction and depends heavily on Nath remaining on the battlefield to close out games.
