Commander: Vihaan, Goldwaker

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Vihaan, Goldwaker Mardu Treasure deck that treats the commander as a combat accelerant rather than the engine itself. The 99 is a dense pile of 25+ Treasure generators - Smothering Tithe, Black Market Connections, Descent into Avernus, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and Xorn among them - feeding the token doublers Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Exalted Sunborn. At combat, Vihaan turns the hoard into 3/3 Construct Assassin attackers; because Assassins are outlaws, they inherit haste and vigilance, and Mari, the Killing Quill can even grant the army deathtouch. The hoard cashes out through multiple in-the-99 wins: Revel in Riches' upkeep trigger, Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact check, Marionette Master sacrifice-drain, or an Akroma's Will/Great Train Heist combat. The commander is not required for any of these lines - the deck is effectively a Treasure goodstuff pile that plays slightly faster when Vihaan is on board.
