Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos big-mana spellslinger and burn strategy helmed by Ozai, the Phoenix King. Ozai acts as both a mana accumulator and an evasive threat by turning unspent mana into persisting red mana and gaining indestructible and flying when holding six or more mana. The deck accelerates in the early turns using mana rocks, rituals, and firebending attackers. Once Ozai hits the battlefield with haste on Turn 5, he banks combat mana across turn steps. On Turn 6, this vast pool of mana fuels devastating X-spells such as Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate, massive damage multipliers like Fated Firepower, or the infinite mana loop of Mana Geyser and Reiterate. Excellent redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend protect key pieces during critical turns, allowing the deck to close out the game quickly by Turn 7.
