Deck overview

This Esper control deck is piloted by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, utilizing her triggered ability to turn noncreature spells into table-wide life drain and card advantage. By enchanting Y'shtola with curiosity effects such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, and Helm of the Ghastlord, every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater deals 2 damage to each opponent and draws three cards. The deck leverages an efficient mana acceleration package to deploy Y'shtola ahead of curve, then establishes layered defensive barriers using Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Teferi, Time Raveler. While grinding down opposing life totals and maintaining a full hand of counterspells and removal, the list works toward a definitive finish via the two-card infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank or an alternate poison kill with Phyresis. High-density interaction and proactive silence effects ensure secure transitions from engine development into game-ending combos.
