Deck overview

This deck is a focused Simic midrange strategy centered on Berta, Wise Extrapolator, utilizing +1/+1 counter placement to generate burst mana and scale lethal Fractal creature tokens. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using mana dorks and land ramp to deploy Berta by Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, Berta works alongside synergy engines like Zimone, Paradox Sculptor, Lattice Library, and Doubling Season to assemble towering boards. Because the deck wins strictly through combat damage, it applies critical pressure around Turn 6 by granting trample via Emil, Vastlands Roamer or bypassing blockers with Rikku, Resourceful Guardian. The deck is resilient against single-target removal thanks to strong redundant payoffs like Deekah, Fractal Theorist and Goldvein Hydra, though its heavy reliance on tap-out sorcery-speed threats leaves it vulnerable to opposing sweepers.
