Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos Treasure deck uses Smaug the Impenetrable as a burst Treasure engine. You deal noncombat damage to Smaug to create Treasures equal to the damage, then use those Treasures to cast big Dragons and fuel drain payoffs. The primary combo loop pairs Smaug with Pestilence/Pyrohemia and Mayhem Devil, or Dawnsire with Fiendlash and Pain for All, to turn self-damage into repeated pings. Secondary wins come from Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and Knuckles the Echidna, plus combat with haste Dragons pumped by Craterclaw Colossus. Magda, Goldspan Dragon, and classic tutors find the pieces while free interaction protects the board.
