Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking commands a Sultai Elfball deck that bridges traditional tribal mana acceleration with potent graveyard combo lines. The deck utilizes an abundant suite of low-cost mana dorks and big-mana producers like Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid to deploy Thranduil, the Elvenking ahead of curve. Once Thranduil is on the battlefield, the deck leverages graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Entomb to bury high-impact Elves with activated abilities. By copying abilities from Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Thranduil executes an instant-speed infinite pump and life-drain loop to eliminate the entire table. In games where Thranduil is removed or graveyard access is contested, the deck seamlessly pivots to a classic Elfball strategy, overwhelming opponents with mana from Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Umbral Mantle, or swarming the board and trampling through with Ezuri, Renegade Leader and Raise the Palisade.
