Format: Commander

Commander: Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Frodo and Sam are an Abzan Food/lifegain pair. Sam creates a Food each combat and discounts Food activations; Frodo turns life gain into Ring tempts and cards. The primary plan is to multiply Food tokens with Peregrin Took, Academy Manufactor, and Doubling Season, then convert that supply into life, mana, and card advantage. Winning lines are repeated Food-sacrifice drains from Mirkwood Bats or Sanguine Bond, a large Aetherflux Reservoir activation, or massive Halflings such as Feasting Hobbit and Treebeard. The hidden backup is the Merry/Pippin partner pair in the 99, which makes lifelink Soldiers and can turn four Foods into a haste overrun.
