Deck overview

Silverquill, the Disputant leads an Orzhov spellslinger aristocrats deck that converts disposable creature tokens into duplicated spells and lethal life drain. The deck deploys early token generators like Skrelv's Hive, Bitterbloom Bearer, and Ophiomancer to supply fodder for the commander's casualty 1 ability. Once the commander is in play, cheap card draw, removal, and token spells are copied at negligible cost, rapidly outpacing opponents in resource generation. Mass token creators like Battle Screech, Blot Out the Sky, and Secure the Wastes build a formidable army while triggering drain effects from Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The deck closes games through explosive combat swings buffed by Porcelain Gallery or through massive life-drain sorceries like Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, and Debt to the Deathless fueled by Ashnod's Altar. While lacking stack counterspells, the deck boasts exceptional targeted removal and resilient board-wipe protection.
