Deck overview

Ultima, Origin of Oblivion is a colorless ramp-and-smash deck. The primary plan is to accelerate with mana rocks, cast Ultima on turn five, then use her attack trigger to blight lands-usually your own Wastes-so each tapped colorless land produces an extra mana. That mana fuels back-to-back Eldrazi and artifact haymakers such as Ulamog, Emrakul, and Ugin. Secondary paths are artifact-tutor value chains through Planar Bridge, Inventors' Fair, and Mystic Forge, plus a burn finish with Glaring Fleshraker and Echoes of Eternity. Ultima is an accelerant and land-disruption piece, not a combo piece; the deck can still function without her, but loses its fastest mana-doubling turns.
