Deck overview

This Orzhov Voltron deck is commanded by Winter Soldier, Icy Assassin, a 2-mana legendary creature with built-in menace and vigilance that scales with +2/+0 for every Equipment attached to him. The game plan focuses on casting the commander on Turn 2, followed immediately by an aggressive curve of cheap Equipment, living weapons, and equip-cost reducers like Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and Puresteel Paladin. By Turn 5, Winter Soldier presents a must-answer lethal threat capable of taking down opponents with high-power commander damage amplified by Brass Knuckles, Blackblade Reforged, and Cranial Plating. While the deck excels at single-target combat pressure and has built-in recursion on the commander, it relies on sequential combat steps across multiple turn cycles to close out all three opponents. Supported by solid white and black removal spells, the deck offers an aggressive and synergistic combat strategy.
