Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck is led by The Watcher in the Water, turning instant-speed card draw into a steady stream of 1/1 Tentacle creature tokens and tapping down opposing threats with stun counters. The deck plays at instant speed on opponents' turns using efficient cantrips, flash draw spells, and passive engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp and Ever-Watching Threshold. A dense suite of hand-size modifiers such as Thought Vessel, Spellbook, and Triskaidekaphile allows the deck to hoard resources without discarding. Rather than racing for fast infinite combos, the strategy focuses on incremental board accumulation, leveraging secondary token generators like Ominous Seas and Chasm Skulker. The endgame converts massive card velocity into decisive table damage through swarming combat steps, buffed threats via Doc Ock's Tentacles or Nerd Rage, and widespread life drain from Psychosis Crawler.
