Tom, Bert & William by pjm1022

Format: Commander

Commander: Tom, Bert, and William

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari midrange sacrifice deck is helmed by Tom, Bert, and William, a 5-mana troll that turns oversized creatures into massive card advantage by sacrificing them to draw equal to their power (then discard one), while stubbornly returning as an artifact if removed. The plan ramps hard into high-power threats-Yargle and Multani, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Lord of Extinction, Daemogoth Titan, Phyrexian Soulgorger-then converts them into draw, discard fuel, and life drain via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Rite of Consumption, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Psychosis Crawler. Recursion from Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Living Death, and reanimation spells keeps the engine looping, while discard payoffs (Bone Miser, Monument to Endurance, Cryptcaller Chariot) monetize the commander's forced discards. Primary wins come from combat with trampling monsters or repeated drain; a thin combo line exists but is hard to assemble reliably.
