Fungus Among Us by Jrodfluff

Format: Commander

Commander: The Mycotyrant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Mycotyrant helms a Black-Green Fungus/Saproling "descend" token swarm. The deck's core loop is simple: flood the board with Saproling and Fungus tokens, feed the graveyard to increase the number of descends each turn, and then convert that mass into a win through tribal anthems and table-wide drain effects. Self-mill from Skull Prophet, Nyx Weaver, and Deathcap Marionette juices the commander's end-step ability while stocking the graveyard for recursion spells like Squirming Emergence and Defossilize. In the midgame, Mycoloth, Verdant Force, Sporemound, and the slow Thallid engine take over token production. Mirkwood Bats and Slimefoot, the Stowaway transform every token created or sacrificed into life loss for the whole table. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by overwhelming combat and repeated drain triggers.
