Deck overview

This Izzet partner deck pairs Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh into a rapid spellslinger combo engine. Rograkh provides immediate zero-mana board presence to fuel acceleration such as Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, and Infernal Plunge, as well as alternate casting costs for Flare of Duplication and Louisoix's Sacrifice. Malcolm converts combat damage and Pirate pings into Treasure tokens, accelerating deployment and fixing colors. The primary win condition transforms damage pingers like Reckless Fireweaver, Weftstalker Ardent, or HYDRA Assault Robot into Pirates using Artificial Evolution, Leyline of Transformation, or Maskwood Nexus. Once modified, any entering artifact deals damage to each opponent, causing Malcolm to generate Treasures that re-trigger the pinger in an infinite lethal loop. Backed by cheap counterspells, cantrips, and backup storm lines via Birgi, God of Storytelling and Reiterate, the deck reliably threatens game-ending turns by Turn 5.
