Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight commands an Azorius artifact aggro and token swarm strategy. The deck deploys low-cost artifact creatures, mana rocks, and cost reducers like Etherium Sculptor into high-impact token generators such as Sai, Master Thopterist and Thopter Spy Network. By connecting in combat, the commander accelerates game speed to reach Max Speed, unlocking the ability to copy every cast artifact spell for a single mana. The win condition converts high artifact counts into lethal combat damage using tall beaters like Kappa Cannoneer, Master of Etherium, and Nettlecyst, assisted by unblockable evasion from Whirler Rogue and Rogue's Passage. Efficient interaction like Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, and Negate shields key plays, while Padeem, Consul of Innovation protects permanents from removal. The deck relies on affinity draw spells and token generation to sustain pressure across sequential attacks.
