Deck overview

Kwain, Itinerant Meddler leads a Group Hug and Draw Control strategy that accelerates the table's card flow while weaponizing resource surplus. By deploying low-cost symmetrical draw engines such as Kwain, Howling Mine, and Kami of the Crescent Moon on early turns, the deck rapidly cycles through its library. It breaks parity using asymmetric engines like Smothering Tithe and Trouble in Pairs, while discouraging incoming attacks with pillow-fort deterrents like The Second Doctor and Michiko Konda. Because the deck continuously draws multiple cards per turn rotation, it reliably assembles high-impact win conditions without needing dedicated tutor spells. The primary route to victory is Approach of the Second Sun, which the deck easily digs up and recasts within a single response cycle. Secondary win paths include Twenty-Toed Toad with a massive hand, Folio of Fancies mill, or late-game domination with Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur. Efficient counterspells and modal sweepers protect the plan.
