Deck overview

This is a Merfolk-tribal spellslinger deck helmed by Namor the Sub-Mariner, where every cheap blue instant or sorcery doubles as a 1/1 Merfolk token. The deck's core loop is to chain cantrips and counterspells - Ponder, Consider, Preordain, Cerulean Wisps, Slip Through Space - to build a board wide enough that convoke and tap-out draw spells like Transcendent Message, Harmonized Crescendo, Shared Discovery, and Distant Melody convert that board into massive card advantage. The commander's flying, board-scaled power, backed by islandwalk lords Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident, provides the win condition: an unblockable, hard-to-block alpha strike that closes out via commander damage or a horde of unblockable Merfolk. Secondary finishers include Summon: Leviathan (bounce everyone else's board and draw on attack) and Proft's Eidetic Memory to pump a single threat.
