Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Squall, SeeD Mercenary, blending aggressive solo attacks with an explosive aristocrats reanimation engine. Squall's Rough Divide ability grants double strike whenever a creature attacks alone, generating two combat damage triggers per turn to return permanents with mana value 3 or less directly from the graveyard to the battlefield. The deck utilizes efficient graveyard enablers such as Buried Alive and Entomb to place its core combo pieces—Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist—into the graveyard, which Squall reanimates upon connecting. Evasive equipment like Brotherhood Regalia and Silver Shroud Costume guarantees combat damage, while premier protection pieces like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos safeguard execution. Backed by asymmetric stax such as Drannith Magistrate and Thalia, Heretic Cathar, the deck consistently closes out games via instant-speed infinite drain loops.
