Deck overview

This Dimir deck pairs Sarevok, Deathbringer with Clan Crafter to form an aggressive aristocrats engine that blends Voltron combat pressure with steady life drain. Early turns prioritize mana acceleration through low-cost mana rocks and cheap cantrip artifacts like Ichor Wellspring and Prized Statue. Once both commanders enter play by Turn 4, Clan Crafter allows Sarevok to convert artifacts into +1/+1 counters and fresh cards for two mana. Sacrificing an artifact on your own turn protects you from Sarevok's end-step trigger while punishing opponents with heavy life loss whenever their turns pass without permanents leaving the battlefield. An efficient suite of 1-mana protection spells shields Sarevok as his power scales toward lethal commander damage. Supporting pieces like Marionette Apprentice, Disciple of the Vault, and Sai, Master Thopterist generate token swarms and direct burn, steadily draining the entire table to close the game by Turn 9.
