UB Control by user7257017

Format: Commander

Commander: Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a draw-go UB control deck helmed by Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, built to answer the table with a dense counterspell and removal suite while filling graveyards - both its own and its opponents' - to fuel a late-game engine. The commander's looting accelerates the transform into Hades, whose "play from graveyard" ability turns the yard into a second hand. Primary wins are chaining extra turns (Time Warp, Capture of Jingzhou, Nexus of Fate, Time Stretch) into commander or Primordial beats, Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir, Mind Grind milling everyone out, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse + Windfall. The deck also steals value from opponents' graveyards via Sepulchral Primordial, Diluvian Primordial, Dream Harvest, and Extract from Darkness. It runs very few creatures, preferring instant-speed interaction and spells.
