Y'shtola, Night's Blessed pilots an Esper control-combo deck that uses the commander as both a life-loss engine and a card-draw magnet. The primary plan is to slow the table with enter-tapped taxes and pillow-fort enchantments, then assemble a two-plus-piece loop-Mindcrank plus Duskmantle Guildmage (with Y'shtola's trigger as the initial life loss) or Exquisite Blood plus Starscape Cleric. Cost reducers and a dense tutor package let the deck find pieces quickly, while counterspells and instant removal protect the combo turn. The deck has no dedicated combat plan; it wins by infinite drain/mill loops, with Bolas's Citadel as a secondary haymaker.
