Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Jeskai combat engine built around Arthur, Marigold Knight. The game plan focuses on deploying cheap, evasive utility creatures and mana acceleration on turns one through three, followed by casting Arthur on turn four. Thanks to Arthur's native haste, declaring an attack alongside a support creature immediately digs six cards deep to put a massive threat onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leverages heavy-hitting payoffs like Moonshaker Cavalry, Aurelia, the Warleader, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest to overwhelm life totals through multi-combat sequences and evasive damage. Cantrips like Brainstorm and Ponder help stack the deck, while Dour Port-Mage turns Arthur's end-of-combat bounce trigger into steady card draw. An efficient interaction package protects key permanents and disrupts opposing threats, while backup cheat enablers like Ilharg, the Raze-Boar ensure the deck can apply lethal pressure even if the commander is removed.
