Elves

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking transforms a set of elf activators in the graveyard into a one-card toolbox. The deck's primary plan is to ramp with elf mana dorks, cast Thranduil quickly, then use Buried Alive/Jarad's Orders/self-mill to stock the graveyard with key elves (Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, Greenhilt Trainee, Tyvar, the Pummeler). Once these are in the graveyard, Thranduil gains their activated abilities and can run an infinite untap/pump loop, ending with an enormous combat step or Exsanguinate. Secondary paths are elfball wide boards with Lathril drain, Imperious Perfect/Warmaster tokens, and overrun-style pumps. The commander is an engine and outlet, not a value-only piece.
