Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Voltron and Equipment strategy centered around Noctis, Heir Apparent. The primary game plan utilizes Noctis's Warp-Strike ability to exile Noctis and return it during combat as an unblockable attacker. Entering combat triggers Noctis's ability to attach heavy Equipment—such as Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Genji Glove—directly onto itself for free, completely bypassing exorbitant equip costs. A dense tutor suite led by Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary ensures rapid assembly of decisive weapon packages by Turn 4. The deck protects its proactive Voltron clock with free interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Deadly Rollick, turn-locking effects like Voice of Victory, and full-board phasing from Clever Concealment. If Noctis is removed, alternate beatdown threats like Squall, SeeD Mercenary, The Vision, and Urza, Lord High Artificer's Construct tokens seamlessly wield the arsenal to maintain constant lethal pressure across the table.
