Deck overview

This deck leverages Hashaton, Scarab's Fist to turn discarded creature cards into 4/4 black Zombie token copies for {2}{U}. It features a dense suite of cheap looters, landcyclers, and high-impact payoffs such as Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Angel of the Ruins. Early turns focus on fixing mana via landcycling while filling the graveyard and deploying cheap discard engines. By Turn 4, Hashaton begins converting discards into discounted board presence. The deck maintains card advantage through ETB triggers and class enchantments, steadily draining opponents' life totals and wiping opposing boards with -1/-1 counters. If Hashaton is answered, a full suite of traditional reanimation spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death provides seamless redundancy to close games via combat damage by Turn 8.
