Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats strategy led by Teysa Karlov, designed to exploit amplified death triggers for massive resource generation, board control, and direct life drain. The deck deploys resilient token producers and recursive creatures, feeding them into sacrifice outlets like Warren Soultrader, Phyrexian Altar, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. With Teysa on the battlefield, every creature death triggers payoffs twice, rapidly converting disposable fodder into card advantage through Dark Prophecy and Skullclamp, ramp through Pitiless Plunderer, and lethal life loss across all opponents with Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. Asymmetric control pieces such as Grave Pact systematically strip opposing creature boards, while reanimation spells like Reanimate and Sevinne's Reclamation ensure engine resilience against removal. While the deck lacks universal tutors and is vulnerable to exile-based graveyard hate, its dense functional redundancy and compounding resource velocity reliably close out games through non-combat drain.
