Animated Nightmares by TsulKalu

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Animar, Soul of Elements is the title commander, but the deck is actually built around a non-commander mana engine: Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy plus Basalt Monolith generates infinite colorless mana, then Walking Ballista, or Cyclonic Rift plus Biorhythm, closes the game. Animar's cost reduction and +1/+1 counters serve as a powerful secondary value plan, enabling huge creatures like Blightsteel Colossus and Vorinclex. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the deck wants to ramp into either the mana combo or a critical Biorhythm while protecting key permanents with Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship. Landfall draw engines Aesi and Tatyova keep the hand full.
