Deck overview

This is a Golgari life-gain tribal midrange deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest. The plan is to drip constant life from landfall creatures, ETB/death triggers, and Pest tokens, then convert that life into +1/+1 counters across Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders via Blech. Counter amplifiers (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Winding Constrictor, The Earth Crystal) turn the board into oversized threats, while drain pieces (Starscape Cleric, South Wind Avatar, Zulaport Cutthroat, Exquisite Blood, Defiling Daemogoth) punish the table in parallel. Token engines (Scute Swarm, Blight Mound, Pest Infestation, Ribtruss Roaster) keep the board full and feed both the life and aristocrats axes. Primary wins are combat with a massively pumped swarm, infinite drain loops off Exquisite Blood, and Aetherflux Reservoir once life totals balloon. Blech is a strong multiplier but not a hard combo piece.
