Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a dedicated discard control and group-slug attrition engine helmed by Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana on turns 1-3 using efficient mana rocks before deploying Kefka on turn 4. Kefka's enter and attack triggers force all players to discard while refilling your hand with fresh cards based on the discarded types. On turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by deploying oppressive attrition engines such as Oppression, Tergrid, God of Fright, or Court of Ambition. Symmetrical discard is broken asymmetrically through punishers like Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not, which convert opposing discards into direct damage, mana, and creature tokens. Opponents find their hands stripped of combo pieces and answers, allowing the deck to close out the game by turn 8 through incremental life loss, stolen permanents, and combat damage from transformed Kefka.
