How to train Ur-Dragon by Merokito

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon commands a five-color Dragon tribal deck focused on accelerating mana, establishing permanent cost reduction, and deploying massive flying threats ahead of schedule. While The Ur-Dragon provides constant passive cost reduction from the command zone and late-game card draw, the list primarily wins by overwhelming the table through explosive creature synergy. Cards like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas generate immediate burst damage as Dragons enter the battlefield. Infinite combat loops via Aggravated Assault paired with high-mana generators like Old Gnawbone or Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient provide clean, unblockable paths to victory.
