Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet burn and spellslinger deck built around Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. The commander triples the output of every source dealing exactly 1 damage, converting symmetrical micro-sweepers like End the Festivities and Blazing Volley into one-sided board wipes against small utility creatures. In addition, creatures with noncreature cast triggers such as Firebrand Archer, Electrostatic Field, and Kessig Flamebreather output 3 damage to every opponent per spell cast. The deck assembles its core pinger and commander engine by Turn 4, presenting lethal table burn by Turn 5 and closing games by Turn 7. While the deck boasts high functional redundancy among burn enablers and includes an infinite combo in Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity, it relies heavily on keeping fragile creatures in play over multiple turn rotations and lacks fast mana, tutors, or deep card-advantage engines.
