Deck overview

This Selesnya aggro deck leverages Torens, Fist of the Angels to convert low-cost creature casts into an expansive army of 1/1 Human Soldier tokens with training. By curving out with utility creatures and token generators, the deck establishes an engine on Turn 4 that rapidly expands its board presence. Counter multipliers and combat enhancers such as Cathars' Crusade, Byrke, Long Ear of the Law, Champion of Lambholt, and Kodama of the West Tree turn small tokens into lethal attackers, creating a critical threat by Turn 6. Card flow engines like Enduring Innocence, Welcoming Vampire, and Toski, Bearer of Secrets keep resources flowing as creatures enter the battlefield or connect in combat. The deck safeguards its wide board using efficient protection spells like Clever Concealment, Dawn's Truce, and Boromir, Warden of the Tower. While vulnerable to repeated sweepers and lacking dedicated tutors, the deck reliably overruns opponents through sustained combat pressure by Turn 8.
