Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir tempo strategy commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, focused on exploiting Commander Ninjutsu to bypass commander tax, generate continuous card advantage, and drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck curves out on Turn 1 with cheap, evasive enablers such as Changeling Outcast, Faerie Seer, and Ornithopter, setting up a Turn 2 ninjutsu activation that deploys Yuriko directly into combat unblocked. Once the engine is operational, the deck uses efficient topdeck manipulation—including Brainstorm, Diabolic Vision, and Mystical Tutor—to stack high-mana-value spells like Temporal Trespass (11 CMC), Dig Through Time (8 CMC), and Temporal Mastery (7 CMC) on top of the library. These reveals deal devastating table-wide burn while filling the hand with cheap interaction such as Spell Pierce, Counterspell, and Dismember. A compact backup win condition with Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation ensures a reliable finish even if creature combat is stalled.
