Deck overview

Kudo, King Among Bears is a Selesnya +1/+1 counter deck that uses its commander as a base-layer anthem: every creature becomes a 2/2 Bear, making tokens and small dorks relevant threats and enabling Ayula and Beorn. The primary plan is to build a wide/tall board of bears, then multiply counters with Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Bristly Bill, Kalonian Hydra, and Zopandrel. A secondary combo uses Kudo to turn Basking Broodscale into a Bear, looping Eldrazi Spawn with Ayula and Cathars' Crusade for an arbitrarily large token army. The deck is resilient through mass protection and can pivot between grind and explosive combat wins.
