Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color kindred toolbox built around shapeshifter creatures with the changeling ability. Because changelings possess every creature type simultaneously, they trigger and benefit from highly specific kindred lords and payoffs across Magic's history. Mana dorks like Harabaz Druid, Gemhide Sliver, and Manaweft Sliver accelerate early deployment into high-impact engines such as Voja, Jaws of the Conclave, Liliana's Contract, and Reaper King. Card velocity is fueled by powerful kindred draw spells like Distant Melody, Airborne Aid, and Mass Appeal, which routinely draw 4 to 6 cards for low mana costs. Defensive lords including Drogskol Captain and Lord of the Unreal grant blanket hexproof to the entire changeling team. While the 29-land count makes early mana sequencing tight, the deck generates overwhelming board presence and combat lethality once its kindred synergy network is established.
