Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Voltron and energy synergy deck commanded by Rex, Cyber-Hound. The primary game plan revolves around generating energy counters, discarding or milling potent creatures with high-impact activated abilities, and using Rex to exile those creatures with brain counters. Because Rex gains all activated abilities of all cards in exile with brain counters, he rapidly accumulates card draw from Arcanis the Omnipotent, self-protection from Morphling and Aetherling, and explosive power buffs from Electrostatic Pummeler and Razorfield Ripper. The deck supports this game plan with efficient Azorius removal, countermagic, and looting effects to curate the graveyard. While lacking fast mana and infinite combos, it establishes resilient combat pressure by creating an unblockable, protected commander that knocks out opponents in successive turns while retaining its stolen abilities even across commander recasts.
