Deck overview

Alania, Divergent Storm is a tempo/storm spellslinger deck built around her first-spell copy ability. The primary plan is to cast Alania early, then double the first instant, sorcery, or Otter spell each turn while converting every spell into damage via Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, Aria of Flame, and Ral, Storm Conduit. The secondary path is a copy-storm chain: stack delayed-copy effects like Dual Strike, Galvanic Iteration, and Teach by Example, then finish with Lightning Bolt or Grapeshot, often with Thousand-Year Storm or Invocation of the Founders as a capstone. Docent of Perfection and Stormsplitter provide a token fallback. There is no hidden commander; the deck is fully built around Alania's face ability.
