Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula heads an aggressive Grixis spellslinger Voltron deck that turns combat into an explosive spell-copying phase. When Azula attacks, she generates two red mana and copies any spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages this ability by chaining cheap pump spells and power-doublers like Titan's Strength and Unleash Fury, swiftly scaling Azula into a lethal commander threat. Direct-damage spells like Soul's Fire and Fling are also duplicated to eliminate off-combat opponents simultaneously. A robust package of low-cost mana rocks and rituals ensures Azula hits the board on curve, while efficient looting and magecraft engines keep cards flowing. Protection pieces like Deflecting Swat, Silver Shroud Costume, and Swiftfoot Boots defend Azula during vulnerable combat steps. If Azula is removed, backup threats like Vivi Ornitier, Bria, Riptide Rogue, and Hullbreaker Horror maintain high combat pressure.
