Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Grixis combat midrange engine led by Edward Kenway. It curves out with low-cost Pirates, Assassins, and Vehicles to establish early board presence. Once the commander enters on Turn 4, every tapped pirate and crewed vehicle generates a Treasure token at the end step, rapidly accelerating your mana ledger. You convert this Treasure surplus into massive board threats like Thunderhawk Gunship, extra combat steps with Port Razer, or devastating one-sided board wipes like Raise the Palisade. Card advantage flows from exiling cards off opponents' libraries with combat damage from Vehicles and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The deck protects its proactive game plan with high-efficiency interaction, including free commander-enabled spells such as Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick. While the strategy relies heavily on creature combat and artifact permanents, Vehicles provide built-in insulation against standard board wipes, enabling a reliable lethal finish around Turn 7.
