Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon deck is a five-color Dragon battlecruiser that leans on the commander's eminence discount to cast expensive Dragons ahead of curve. The primary plan is to tutor or cheat a critical mass of Dragons using Tiamat, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, Defense of the Heart, Ureni of the Unwritten, or Dracogenesis, then finish with an Atarka/Utvara/Neriv alpha strike or the Dracogenesis + Miirym + Marang token loop. The Ur-Dragon's attack trigger turns each swing into card draw and virtual permanent cast. Scion acts as a hidden backup commander, turning itself into any Dragon in the library. Secondary paths include ETB burn from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas.
