Deck overview

This deck executes a Grixis artifact-combat strategy led by Edward Kenway. In the opening turns, it deploys low-cost Pirates, Assassins, and Vehicles to establish board presence. Casting Edward Kenway turns routine combat into an explosive resource engine: tapping creatures to crew Vehicles allows you to safely generate a burst of Treasure tokens every end step while stealing cards from opponents on combat damage. The deck accumulates an overwhelming artifact count, which powers explosive game finishers like Cyberdrive Awakener, Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge, and Time Sieve. It also includes the compact two-card combo of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Glint-Horn Buccaneer as an alternate instant win. Vehicles provide natural resilience against sorcery-speed board wipes, giving the deck durable mid-to-late-game staying power.
