The Chosen King by davidr5807

Format: Commander

Commander: Noctis Lucis Caelum

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a five-color Kenrith value-combo deck that leverages Kenrith, the Returned King as a flexible toolbox engine for card draw, reanimation, pump, and haste while assembling layered infinite combos and control locks from the 99. The primary plan develops efficient ramp and asymmetric draw (Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, Consecrated Sphinx), deploys cost reducers like Training Grounds, then converts mana and recursion into wins via Heliod-Ballista drains, Basalt-Rings loops, Approach of the Second Sun, Laboratory Maniac, or Sephiroth/Exquisite Blood life-swap drains. Secondary paths include Hullbreaker bounce locks, Willbreaker theft, and oversized combat with Jumbo Cactuar or Finale of Devastation. The deck plays as a resilient midrange control shell that grinds value until it finds a compact two- or three-card kill.
