Real Elder Dragon Highlander by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Vaevictis Asmadi

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Jund Voltron strategy centered on the original Elder Dragon, Vaevictis Asmadi. The primary objective is to leverage the commander s massive 7/7 flying frame and firebreathing capabilities to deliver lethal commander damage, often in a single swing. The deck utilizes a "Power Matters" subtheme, employing burst draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker to maintain momentum. To bypass the traditional slog of combat, the deck integrates a potent Infect package (Grafted Exoskeleton, Phyresis, Tainted Strike) and power doublers (Mr. Orfeo, the Boulder, Unnatural Growth). While Vaevictis is an 8-mana investment with a restrictive upkeep cost, the deck is heavily saturated with early-game acceleration to ensure the Elder Dragon hits the board well ahead of schedule. It functions as a "glass cannon" predator, looking to eliminate players one-by-one through overwhelming physical force.
