Deck overview

This Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck operates as an Aristocrats Reanimator Combo strategy. It leverages Golgari self-mill, sacrifice outlets, and recurring creatures to control the board while assembling game-ending combos. The deck uses sacrifice engines like Plaguecrafter and Fleshbag Marauder to suppress opposing creatures and gain experience counters, while setting up one-shot combo finishes. Its primary win paths center on Protean Hulk lines (fetching Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist for infinite drain) and the compact Witherbloom Apprentice plus Chain of Smog Magecraft combo. Secondary paths include Mikaeus, the Unhallowed plus Walking Ballista or heavy attrition via Contamination and Sheoldred, Whispering One. The deck recovers rapidly from removal thanks to extensive cheap reanimation spells, though it must navigate a lack of blue countermagic by choosing precise timing windows.
