Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari aggro-midrange strategy that uses Glissa Sunslayer to dominate combat while applying relentless poison pressure. Glissa's combination of first strike and deathtouch makes her nearly impossible to block profitably, allowing her to consistently deal combat damage to draw cards, destroy enchantments, and remove counters from opposing permanents. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with green dorks and establishing low-cost infect or toxic creatures such as Glistener Elf, Plague Stinger, and Fynn, the Fangbearer. In the mid-game, proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Bloated Contaminator, and Vraska, Betrayal's Sting rapidly tick up poison counters across all three opponents simultaneously. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through decisive combat overruns with Triumph of the Hordes or Craterhoof Behemoth, surprise pump spells like Become Immense, or evasive strikes from Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. A robust package of Golgari spot removal keeps opposing threats in check throughout.
